Recommended Operating Environments

Client Desktop PC \ laptop device

Minimum Operating Specifications : MAAD2GO will operate on any Windows device that upholds Microsoft's minimum specifications & systems configuration environments. Works best on Windows 7 and above.

Software framework(s) : minimum of .NET Framework 3.5 required

User Access\Permission Requirements :
> R\W permission to C:\users\%username%\My Documents\MAAD directory (directory of MAAD required for processing of programs temporary files and storage of users customised configuration.)
> R\W permission to \%installpath%\MAADconfig directory

If utilising a Network configuration – user requires R\W access to:

> \\Network Share location\%installpath%\MAADconfig directory
> \\Network share location to storage location of catalog files (required only if user to edit catalog)

R\W : Read \ Write permissions

Shared Network Server

Minimum Operating Specifications : Server device to store Network Shared Version of MAAD2gO and associated Catalog Libraries. The MAAD2gO software itself operating in network mode does NOT utilise server CPU resources to operate. It is merely a storage location for catalog libraries that the users access plus handles licence checking, and a copy of MAAD2gO only needs to be copied to a shared server location, NOT installed as required on a user’s PC. Therefore, the network version of MAAD2gO can reside on a SAN, NAS, Cloud Server or shared PC, as long as underlying network infrastructure (UNC, Mapped Network drives, etc) supports user traffic, permission access and response times to \ from required device.

Storage Allowance : 16 GB available hard disk space*

* Can be larger depending on catalog library design

Software Framework(s) : If utilising SQL Server, then either SQL Server Express, SQL Server 2008 R2 or above (* Required only if catalog library storage resides in SQL Server, and utilises a Trusted Connection for user access).

Access\Permission Requirements : If utilising a Network configuration – user requires R\W access to:

> \\Network Share location\%installpath%\MAADconfig directory
> \\Network share location to storage location of catalog files (required only if user to edit catalog)

Common mapped drive(s) or R accessibility to file storage location.

R\W : Read \ Write permissions
